Our last LA day consisted of Randy's Donuts, La Brea Tarpits and the Grove. This time, we opted to make it a museum LA day and hit up the Science Center and Museum of Natural History.
Pro to our LA day: military get in to the museums for free! So besides parking and food, it was a pretty cheap day ;)
I've been wanting to go to the Science Center since they put the Endeavor there so I was excited to finally get the chance to go!
To say Jack was a fan of seeing a real "rocket ship" would be an understatement. He was so excited! They had videos of the different space shuttle missions and now he makes his toy space shuttle blast off all the time ;)
The Science Center had a few good toddler spots. Amelia really liked the different climates and the river area to make a channel with the sand and water. Ben was a big fan of the cold Poles section and touching the ice...
The kelp forest was also a big hit for the twins!
Overall, 2 and 1 are definitely too young to really appreciate the museum but they did have a fun time looking around, even if they couldn't really understand all of the exhibits.
Next up, we strolled over to the Natural History Museum. It's nice that they're so close! The highlight of this museum was definitely dinosaurs.
After getting lost in the bird section for what felt like forever, we finally found the LA/nature area downstairs that was right up the twins alley! There was a great outdoor nature section and LA area with fun exhibits and some animals so it was a big hit.
Jumping in water makes every 2 year olds dreams come true. Overall, we had a great day even if the kids were a bit too little to appreciate it. We don't know if we'll be here when they're old enough to really enjoy the museums so I'm glad we took this opportunity to go!
