And here we are, 3 weeks later, preparing to leave the home we were moving into 3 years ago. We'll be traveling over Memorial Day again, just like we did 3 years ago (well, not me, I was sitting on my parents couch while Tom, my brother and his friend all drove). And in a few short weeks we'll be calling a new state and house our home.
Luckily, I'm not pregnant this time.
Unluckily, we have 3 kids to get across the country this time. I might wish I was pregnant so I can push all the hard work on the hubby again. Ha. Just kidding. Sort of. Not really.
And the same brother that moved us out here is moving us back East! Good thing I still have a college aged brother with some free time.
So what did I do this mother's day leading up to a move again?
Actually, I spent most of my mother's day working on a dress project with some friends.
And cleaning.
And trying to figure out how we much we can REALLY fit in my van. We did a trial run last weekend, turns out it fits a lot if I don't have my big stroller with me. Which might make me a bit too casual in just throwing random stuff in suitcases saying we have the space so I might as well bring it with me.
We'll be spending most of this week cleaning and doing laundry. By Thursday night, the car will be packed up and we'll be ready to move into temporary housing while the packers and movers finish up with our house. A few out processing things for Tom and we'll be ready to hit the road next week! I can't believe after all this anticipation for months, this move will be kicking off in just a few days! I'm glad I got to spend my weekend sewing and relaxing a bit before the craziness kicks off!
Unluckily, that will probably be the last moments of calmness I get for a few weeks.
