It was pretty empty for us (read: you can actually see some items instead of taking everything out to find what you're looking for) so I thought now would be a good time to share.
So, let me also say, we do our shopping by the week. In the beginning of the week, our fridge is packed full of fruits, veggies, and meat. By the end of the week, it's full of leftovers and random things. But here's what's in it at this moment...The main part:
- leftover kimchi
- leftover chicken pot pie
- leftover buffalo chicken
- leftover pumpkin pancakes
- grapes
- eggs
- strawberries
- blueberries
- lemons
- carrots
- broccoli
- oranges
- celery
- a lone surviving tomato
- yogurt
- spinach
- ground beef (in the grocery bag from this morning that wasn't in another bag so I didn't want it to leak, yuck!)
- water
- string cheese
- parmesan
- whey
- in the back that you can't see is: hummus, parsley, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and applesauce
On the door:
- Butter
- Pickles
- berry salad dressing
- ketchup
- mustard
- homemade strawberry cream cheese
- sour cream
- yeast
- milk
- salsa
- mustard
- jam
- bbq sauce
- ranch
- mayo
- relish (a certain little girl has a pickle obsession)
- homemade ginger ale
- kefir (2 kinds) and homemade kefir is sitting on the counter
The freezer is pretty entertaining right now, since it's 90% chicken broth. I put everything on the main side except a few things.
- Chicken broth
- frozen bananas
- frozen english muffins
- a few packs and a whole chicken
- corn
- homemade waffles
- our ice cream maker freezer part
- and in the back are some chicken nuggets
All that's left on the door of the freezer is some dark chocolate bars (my guilty pleasure), some bread to make bread crumbs and more chicken broth (I know, more? what can I say, we've eaten a lot of chicken lately and we go through broth pretty quickly sometimes so I always make it whenever we have bones).
So there you have it. It's all out there now! What a disorganized fridge I have and all of our guilty food pleasures ;) as well as some staples.
Your turn, what's in your fridge?
